Why I'm building Paideio.
Hi — I'm Gabriela. I'm building Paideio because the educators I love deserve a better home.
I'm a college counselor and first-generation college graduate. The best educators I've ever known were also the hardest to find — not because they weren't out there, but because the only way to find them was word of mouth, and word of mouth takes years.
I watched certain tutors completely change a student's confidence, curiosity, and belief in themselves. The tutor who finally makes calculus click. The writing coach who pulls a real voice out of a fifteen-year-old. The mentor who says the thing that stays with a kid for the rest of their life. But only if they can find each other.
That's what Paideio is for.
We're intentionally small right now. I'm personally reading every application, meeting educators one-on-one, and building something centered on trust and human connection — because the right educator doesn't just teach a subject. They change the trajectory of a student's life.
